With the boats out of the way, the runners/walkers can return to the lake. And 154 of you did just that, joining us at the August Fourth Sunday Race today.

Our Fourth Sunday Run on July 24, 2016 has been cancelled due to the schedule overlap with the SW Masters Regional Regatta at Lake Merritt.

We were unaware of the large-scale event  being hosted by the Lake Merritt Rowing Club on the same day until recently and with the expected crowds, parking, and other logistics, many safety concerns for our runners were raised. 

We apologize for this late notice.  An email will follow to all members and runners that have already pre-registered.   Thank you,  LMJS Board

Please plan to join your fellow Ducks at our annual Club banquet on Sunday, January 31, starting at 6 pm. We will meet at the Z Cafe, 2735 Broadway, in Oakland. The buffet menu will feature house salad, lemon herb whitefish, mushroom gravy chicken breast, corn poblano lasagna, garlic mashed potatoes, & vegetables. The cost is $20 for Club members and $40 for non-member guests. The event page will be set up soon and you must register online to attend.

The first group training run for the half marathon training program is Saturday, January 2! For more information or to sign up, go to lmjs.org/training/marathon.

You came from the Town, the Bay Area, all around California, and Massachusetts, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Washington, Texas, Hawaii, and even Belgium. And you braved the cold for a great final 4SR for 2015.
