The LMJS marathon and half marathon training program will be back in November! We cannot wait to train together! The 18-week training program runs from November 15, 2021 through late March, and will get you ready for the Oakland Running Festival or any spring race of your choosing. Whether training for your first half marathon or your tenth marathon, we’ll help you go the distance and support your goals. The program includes a supportive community, online training platform, weekly training run schedule, suggested running routes, pace groups, and training shirt. *** This is not a "couch to finish line" program. It's expected trainees will be running when the programs begin. ***
Marathon trainees should be running at least 20 miles per week before the program begins. Half marathon trainees should be running at least 12 miles per week before the program begins. Both programs begin with long runs of over 6 miles.
