The LMJS marathon and half marathon training program is back! We're excited to train together again! The 18-week training program runs from November 15, 2021 until March 20, 2022, and will get you ready for the 2022 Oakland Running Festival or any spring race of your choosing. Whether training for your first half marathon or your tenth marathon, we’ll help you go the distance and support your goals. The program includes a supportive community, Saturday group long runs, online training platform, weekly training run schedule, and more. Register now! *** Note: This is not a "couch to finish line" program. To get the most out of the program, we highly recommend trainees already be running mileage as follows when the program begins:
Marathon trainees: at least 20 miles per week
Half marathon trainees: at least 12 miles per week
Both marathon and half marathon programs begin with long runs of 6+ miles.
