LMJS will be offering an advanced beginning running program this fall to help you get ready to run/jog a 10K, which is 6.2 miles! This program is designed for those who can already jog/walk 3 miles or 45 minutes and want to work up to a 10K. Thinking of doing the Oakland Running Festival Half Marathon Training Program? This class will also help you get ready for that program!
These training sessions begin on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 8:00am and will be held for 7 sessions(no meeting Sunday 12/3) and ends on Sunday, Dec. 17.
Our Sunday runs will meet at the beautifully Lake Merritt. We'll meet at the front of Fairyland 699 Bellevue Ave. Put your training to test on Sunday, Dec. 24th with a 5K/10K/15K Race around Lake Merritt(optional).
We'll provide training schedules, maps, online resources, and lots of encouragement.
This training is appropriate for anyone who wants to work up to a 10K. RSVP required for this program, with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 participants, to keep things safer. Contact the coach for $10 discount code after registering for LMJS Marathon Training. Also, please contact the coach if cost is a financial burden.
