An East Bay Triple Crown Trail Championship event, the 47th annual Dick Houston Memorial Woodminster Cross Country Trail Race will take place

SUNDAY, JUNE 17, 2012,  9:00 AM

LOCATION: Joaquin Miller Park, Pinewood Area, Oakland, Calif.

COURSE: 9 mile hilly, cross-country loop on dirt trails.

AWARDS: 
  • Medals for 1st through 15th place.  
  • Perpetual “BEST TIME” trophies to best male/female open division and best male/female seniors (50 and above). 
  • Team award for club with most runners.
  • Special “Woodminster Survivor” awards to first 225 finishers.
This is a handicapped race.

20 Minutes 
  • Girls 12 & under
  • Women 45+ 
  • Men 65+ 
16 Minutes 
  • Women 35-44
  • Men 60-64
12 Minutes 
  • Boys 12 & under
  • Women 13-34
  • Men 55-59
8 Minutes 
  • Men 45-54

REGISTRATION: 

Pre-register by June 14th here or on ACTIVE.COM. Pre-registration entry fee is $22. (Free  entry to 1st 10 MD, RN, or paramedic volunteers.  Call to verify.)

Race Day Registration:  Opens at 7:30 AM.  Entry fee is  $28.00. 


REFRESHMENTS: Refreshments will be provided at the finish of the race to all registered runners (as long as they last).

DIRECTIONS TO EVENT

FROM WEST:  Highway 580 to Fruitvale off-ramp; 2 blocks to Champion; left on Champion and proceed 
up hill past the Mormon Temple.  Champion changes to Lincoln, and then to Joaquin Miller Road.  Left 
on Sanborn Drive.  Watch for Woodminster Amphitheater sign.  Parking available adjacent to Ranger 
Station and Community Center.

FROM EAST:  Highway 580 to Highway 13 (Warren Freeway).  Take turnoff and stay on Hwy. 13 to 
Joaquin Miller exit.  Right on Joaquin Miller Road; proceed as above.
