LMJS will be offering another beginning running program this winter to help you get in shape for a 5K! This program is designed for those who want to work up to a 5K which is 3.1 miles, or approximately one lap around Lake Merritt.

These training sessions will be held for four consecutive Saturdays at 10:00am with a 5K race the fifth week.Our runs will sample a few of the gorgeous East Bay area trails. The first will be held Saturday, February 25th at 10:00am, with the others on March 3, March 10, and March 17 culminating in the popular Oakland Running Festival 5K on Sunday, March 25th (race fee extra).

This training is appropriate for anyone who wants to work up to a 5K and for those who haven't run for awhile and want to begin again.
