Sign up for Trail Fitness Training 2021 - Our first IN PERSON Training of the year!  

We’re Full!  If you missed out on this, take a look at our Summer Track Class to give your training a kickstart!


Our Trail Fitness program is back on the trails as a group again! Come run and be part of the fun. We'll be participating in a larger event sponsored by REI called Dirt, Sweat and Beers that includes a community clean-up while we're out at our goal event July 18th at Mt Sutro in the city.

Improve your strength, form, and agility as you take your running to the trails. Runners of all speeds and experience with the ability to run a 5k will benefit the most from the program.

We'll be running in different locations in the East Bay hills working on the ups and downhills while building strength to lift your feet off the ground.

Running Ability : Please feel comfortable running at least 3 miles before the start of class. You can choose to run either the 5k or the 10k distance for your goal race. 

Cost: $50 LMJS members, $55 non-members (join LMJS Running Club before registering for saving throughout the year). LMJS racing team members $40 (ask for code to register). Register on your own for the Mt Sutro event.

Meeting Place: Various locations to be announced by weekly email. 

Time: 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm 

Covid Protocols:  We ask that all participants be vaccinated to keep our group as safe as possible. Come wearing a mask to check in as we check out what else in going on in the vicinity.  While running, it will be your personal preference to run with or without your mask. If you are not feeling well and have any cold or covid symptoms, please refrain from coming.  We will be following the Alameda County Health Guidelines at the time of our start date.

Instructor : LMJS Board Member Training Director and Racing Team Member, Jeanine Bourcier Holmlund, RRCA and USATF certified Lev 2, Piedmont High School Cross-Country And Track & Field Coach. Jeanine first organized the trail training programs in 2012.
