The route has to be modified for the 1st part of the race , you will still climb the top of the Woodmonster ( about 0.5 miles) and will enjoy a very scenic route on French trail. Please be considerate of your fellow runners whether you are passing them or being passed, be safe out there! We share the trail with hikers of all ages, bikers and horse riders! Let's be respectful of their happy Sunday morning so they keep cheering on us crazy trail runners!!!

WOODMONSTER HILL CLIMB CHALLENGE

The Woodmonster is one of the toughest climbs in the East Bay. It is difficult, it is steep, it is glorious. To spice up the already zesty Woodmonster race, this is a fun premium to the fastest men’s and women’s times up the 0.8 mile Transports Woodmonster Climb. The climb happens mid-race, so even if you finish 200th overall, you can still win by getting yourself up the hill faster than everyone else. Click for more info.
