2018 Trail Training with the Triple Crown Races
The triple crown has been canceled this year due to a lack of participation in all 3 races. LMJS will continue to host our training to take you out the Tilden hills in May and back through the Redwood Park Woodmonster hill in June.
Congratulations to all 34 who followed our rolling East Bay hills to the finish line of our 10 week training in 2017 and enjoyed our home spun LMJS races (with Chabot Trail challenge half in between). If you're looking forward to running the Triple Crown this year - this training program will serve you well.
Where: We'll be gathering at different staging areas of the Triple Crown Races: LMJS Tilden Tough Ten (May 20), Chabot Trail Challenge 1/2 Marathon (June 3) and the LMJS "Woodmonster" 9 mile course in Redwood Park (June 24).(Register for races on your own - sign up for training first)
Start: Running rain or shine, we'll start April 22 with a 5 - 8 mile run and build our mileage up from there. We'll cover uphill and downhill running, stairs and roots, so you're prepared come race day! Contact Jeanine Holmlund with any questions.
This will be the 3rd time this program is offered. We are happy to offer this opportunity to train with others in the beautiful setting of the East Bay Parks!
Time: 8:30 am to 10:00 am. We'll change to 8:00am when the need arises.
Cost: $50 Racing Team members and those who continue from the Trail fitness class*, $65 Members, $85 Non-Members
