      <title>2026 Thursday Trail Fitness Training Program (07 May 2026)</title>

  &lt;p&gt;Time to catch the breeze out on the trails now that it's daylight saving time.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

    &lt;p&gt;We'll be emphasizing our running, core and strength work together for a little bit of everything. This evening program will add up to max 5 miles, so if you're looking for more, this may not be for you. Please be ready to run minimum 3.5 miles of up and down trails to start.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

    &lt;strong&gt;Running Ability&lt;/strong&gt; :Improve your strength, form, and agility as you take your running to the trails.&amp;nbsp;Runners of all speeds and experience with the ability to run a 3 miles will benefit the most from the program.
  &lt;/div&gt;

  &lt;p&gt;We'll send an email with the weekly run location in your confirmation email.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

    &lt;strong&gt;Cost:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;

    &lt;p&gt;$50 LMJS members,&amp;nbsp;$55 non-members (join our run club @ LMJS.org before registering for savings throughout the year).&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

    &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong style="font-size: 1em;"&gt;Meeting Place&lt;/strong&gt;: East Bay trails west of Oakland.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Fee:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;$40 - Returning Runners&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;$50 - LMJS Members&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The emphasis for this class will be on learning to run faster by improving form and running economy - both critical aspects of racing. In each class, you will participate in a track workout designed to work on these elements, with a brief discussion of how these fit into a training program.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Clark Kerr track is located at the top of Dwight way.&amp;nbsp; There are no restrooms at this site.&amp;nbsp; It's easier to park on the opposite site of the track off of Claremont Ave on Stonewall Rd and walk a short trail to the track.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Description&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This class is recommended for runners who have been running for at least 6 months and want to improve their running.&amp;nbsp; In each session, we will do dynamic warm-up drills, a workout and stretching.&amp;nbsp; What's unique about the class? Our class numbers allow for pace groups and regular training pace partners!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The emphasis for this class will be on learning to run faster by improving form and running economy - both critical aspects of racing. In each class, you will participate in a track workout designed to work on these elements, with a brief discussion of how these fit into a training program.&lt;/p&gt;

This beautiful and challenging course is 10 miles, with plenty of hills and single track trails! The infamous Woodmonster climb is a given of course. This is a handicapped race with different start times based on age. &lt;a href="https://www.rboakland.org/" target="_blank"&gt;Run for a Better Oakland (RBO&lt;/a&gt;) is the major beneficiary for the past few years.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/font&gt;
