LMJS will be offering another beginning running program this winter to help you get in shape for a 5K! This program is designed for those who want to work up to a 5K which is 3.1 miles, or approximately one lap around Lake Merritt.

These training sessions will be held for four consecutive Saturdays at 10:00am with a 5K race the fifth week.Our runs will sample a few of the gorgeous East Bay area trails. The first will be held Saturday, January 5th at 10:00am, with the others on January 12, 19, and 26th, culminating with the Kaiser 5K February 3rd in Golden Gate Park (http://xnet.kp.org/sanfrancisco/index.html/ race fee extra).

This training is appropriate for anyone who wants to work up to a 5K and for those who haven't run for awhile and want to begin again.
